This shoe advertisement was done by taking the fog fire Vans logo and ripple from Google then taking the quick selection tool to have them only be an outline of the objects and deleting the background. I First added my lightroom edited picture of a shoe I took used the quick selection and deleted the background then I used the burn tool to create a shadow on the left of the shoe as though it was coming from the light source from the top right of the smoke. I easily created that light source from the brush tool then changed the blend mode to Linear Dodge Add while on fill then decreasing the opacity so you can still see the background through the white. For the ripple I used a layer mask to create a soft edge from removing some opacity from the edges of the ripple. The text and fire are self explanatory as I used the fire from Google and the text is a phosphate text that has the opacity lowered. Overall creating the ad took a lot of figuring out but after learning I could easily do it now way faster.
