For this Composition Ad, I wanted to create an advertisement for my phone with a holographic feel. I started by taking the elements that I needed and added a drop shadow to them using coping the layer style and applying it to all of them. The hardest part of the piece was using the free transform tool on my screenshots of various apps. I used guiding lines I created to make sure they line up but took a few to figure out how the tool worked. For the logo in the corner, I go that of the internet and added my spin to it by adding an elliptical marques crop of a photo I didn't use beforehand that went well with the color scheme. For the text, I took a while to find what worked best and decided to not use a drop shadow as it was overwhelming to the rest of the ad and instead decreased the opacity of them all with an outer glow as though they were being covered by the screenshots drop shadows. The red mark was actually accidental and ended up working, I made it with the brush with the lightbulb I took a photo of at home edited with a linear gradient on the bottom portion. For the glowing part of the light bulb it originally wasn't lit up but after adding the paint bucket tool set to lighten it made the illusion it was on and casting a shadow to the other aspects. Overall I am proud of this piece and I feel I learned a lot in it and finding what works.
